Macclesfield relegated
Stevenage reprieved

Rumour on the Macclesfield T forum is they won't be accepted into the National League due their financial position.

Sounds about right, the national league are stricter these days and are probably sick of bearing the brunt of the efl problem clubs

Seems like the EFL have bent over backwards to get rid of Macclesfield

With the help of certain clubs who had the same agenda.
L2 skulduggery.

Seems like Macc's owner was yet another who would not pass the fit and proper person test EFL.(Would have wrote more-accusations-think Bury but not quite as bad).
But who let him be there.

Cannot see any way the NL should/would accept them.
By what I have read they may well go pop.

Officially now
1. Have no players
2. No staff
3. No money

Are very probably not going to survive.

By all accounts there is no coming back this time, final name in the coffin for them.

Promotion killed them in the end mirrors our demise.

Would presume with them been wound up that they wont be playing again this season and any new clun forming could not take over there league position

Statement from Silkmen Supporters Trust -

The SST are devastated by the decision of the court to wind up Macclesfield Town Football Club.

The responsibility for this lies at the feet of one person – Amar Alkadhi.

We are currently looking into what actions we can take to save the club and as such will be seeking a meeting with the receiver as soon as possible.

In the meantime the SST will attempt to put together a rescue bid.

We ask all our fans to unite and get behind the SST. We therefore ask any fan with specialist knowledge to contact the SST, as soon as possible.

I wonder If the supporters trust or anyone else who could raise the money could still save the club or is them been wound up officially the end meaning any new club will be a phoenix club?

The EFL machination was clear dump your problem child on the neighbours.
The National League should never accepted them.

Thought there was ten year membership thing that you have to guarantee you will remain a member. Not sure what its called a bond maybe.
